DV lottery photos which is also known as Green card lottery photos are required for all those primary applicants and their eligible dependants in the digital image file format to participate in the American diversity visa lottery program this year.

These photos must be in the required width, height and must be equal or less than to the given image file size. The online photo/image validator allows you to check it in the photo validator web page of the official web site. These photo file requirements are clearly stated in the instructions every year for your benefit. Color photos only will be accepted for this random name selection American visa lottery program. Black and white images or mono color images will not be accepted.
Those photos can be taken by a digital camera with proper lighting or paper photo can be scan and made as image file using an image scanner. Those photos you want to include in the application form must be taken recently, normally after July 2012 if you are applying for the DV-2014 visa lottery program. If old photos are submitted with the entry form, you may loose your eligibility any time, once they are discovered.
As per the DV-2014 instructions there are no changes in the DV 2014 photo instruction and you can use the last year photo specification this year too.
Don't airbrush or manipulate those required digital images using programs like Adobe Photoshop or any other image editing program. A married person must submit a digital photograph of him/her self, a digital photograph of spouse and individual photographs of all the children who are unmarried and under 21 years of age on the date of applying. Single person can apply himself/herself alone in the online web site at the time of the application accepting period with his/her digital photo file.

Entries are subject to disqualification and visa refusal for cases in which the photographs are not recent one or have been manipulated or fail to meet the specifications as explained in the instructions.
If you didn't submit any eligible person's detail and image, your entry will be disqualified in the later stage. You do not need to submit a photo file for a child who is already a U.S. citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident in the U.S.A.
Group photos or family photographs will not be accepted for the program. There must be a separate photograph for each family member as mentioned in the instructions. Failure to submit the required photographs for your spouse and each child will result in an incomplete entry to the E-DV system.
Failure to enter the correct photograph of each individual in the required field in the E-DV system will result in disqualification of the principal applicant and refusal of all visas at the time of the visa interview.
