DV Lottery Photos.

Photos of the applicant and his dependants are compulsory requirement for to apply through the application form of the American Government’s official DV lottery program the USA visa lottery program which is also popularly known as Green card lottery.. The applicants are request to include a color photo of them selves in the format of an image file along with the application form when they do submit it. This is clearly stated in the DV Lottery Instructions. Further more these photos must meet the DV photo requirements given in the U.S State Department’s dv lottery instructions. Color photos only will be accepted for this green card lottery program. Black and white photos will not be accepted.

Those photos can be taken by a digital camera with proper lighting or it can be done by a image scanner by scanning a paper photo. If the photo file is not uploaded with the entry your entry will not be accepted. The USA visa lottery application form will send back to the applicant with red color warning to submit the correct size photo. Those photos you want to include in the entry must be taken recently, normally after June 2010 if you are applying for the DV 2012 visa lottery. If old photos are submitted with the entry form, you may loose your dv lottery eligibility any time once they are discovered.

Don't manipulate digital images using any programs like Photoshop. A married person must submit a digital photograph of him/her self, a digital photograph of spouse and individual photographs of all the children who are unmarried and under 21 years of age on the date of applying. Single person can apply himself/herself alone in the online web site at the time of the application accepting period with his/her digital photo file. It is not necessary to be a married person to apply for the USA visa lottery.

Entries are subject to disqualification and visa refusal for cases in which the photographs are not recent or have been manipulated or fail to meet the specifications as explained in the dv lottery instructions..

A recent digital photograph (image) of yours, your spouse, and each eligible child (unmarried child under 21 years of age, including all natural children as well as all legally-adopted children and stepchildren, even if a child no longer resides with you or you do not intend for a child to immigrate under the DV program) must be submitted on-line with the E-DV entry form in the digital file format.

If you didn't submit any eligible person's detail and image, your entry will be disqualified.

You do not need to submit a photo for a child who is already a U.S. citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident in the U.S.A.

Group photos or family photographs will not be accepted for the green card lottery program. There must be a separate photograph for each family member as mentioned in the DV lottery instructions. Failure to submit the required photographs for your spouse and each child will result in an incomplete entry to the E-DV system. The entry will not be accepted and must be resubmitted. Failure to enter the correct photograph of each individual in the required field in the E-DV system will result in disqualification of the principal applicant and refusal of all visas at the time of the visa interview.
