Taking a New Digital Image. If a new digital image is taken, it must meet the following specifications:
Image File Format: The image must be in the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) format.
Image File Size: The maximum image file size is 240 kilobytes (240 KB).
Image Resolution: 600 pixels high by 600 pixels wide.
Image Color Depth: 24-bit color [Note: Color photographs are required. Black and white, monochrome images (2-bit color
depth), 8-bit color, or 8-bit grayscale will not be accepted.]
How to download photos from Camera to PC.
DV Lottery participants must include their image in the entry form. So it is necessary to upload a digital image of yours along with the DV lottery application form. You can set the digital camera according to the file size. Then you can take the photos as per the DV Lottery instruction. Then you can download your pictures from your digital camera to the PC and can use them along with the DV Lottery application form, if the digital images meet the requirements given in the dv lottery instruction. To download the images from a digital camera to your PC, you will need the following
1. PC with USB Port
2. Install the software - Program - which came with the camera in a CD
3. Insert the USB Data transfer cable in to the PC's USB port.
4. Keep the camera switched off and insert the USB Data transfer cables other end in to the digital camera.
5. Switch on the camera. (Some cameras will ask to click on the button to connect to the PC).
6. You can see the Digital camera in your "My Computer" as a drive.
7. Double click and open it and copy the images to the desired folder and paste them there.
Or use the camera's software to download the images to your "My pictures" folder.
Before switch off the camera stop the running program from the right side bottom panel.
Once the computer says it is safe to stop the device, then switch off the camera and remove the cables.
If you like you can change the images name from numbers to name which will make easy to find the images.
