PHOTO SCANNER.
Photo scanner's actual name is image scanner. They allow you to scan paper photos and make them in to digital photo files very easily. These digital image files can be uploaded in the dv lottery application forms. This gadget works along with a PC or Lap top only and the produced files will be saved in the PC or Laptop in a given folder.
These scanners are operating normally with 12V power supply from a power adaptor which are usually supplied by the image scanner producer. You have many kind of selection when you want to buy a simple image scanner. They are coming as only scanner or as 3 in 1 where you can have a printer, scanner and a photocopier in a single gadget. Or simply buy a image scanner only.
When you are buying a photo scanner you must have been provided with a program CD, USB Connection Cable and power adaptor. To start the scanner operation, opens the packet and make all connection according to the instruction. But don't give the power to the photo scanner. If there is a lock release it.(This is to prevent transport damage to the inside moving parts.) Start the computer and the provided CD and install the program.
Once the CD is installed it will ask you to connect the image scanner, then give the power and switch on the power and remove the CD.
Your computer will display that a new program is running and it will also say that it has detected a USB connected device.
So go to the all programs and select the scanner and click on it will start to function.
